Effective July 1, 2011, the capitalization threshold for low value assets was increased from $2,499.99 to $4,999.99. If you have created a low value asset knowing the value will exceed $2,499.99, you are asked to wait until July 13th before you use it in a purchase order. Failure to wait will result in an error message informing you that you cannot create the purchase order using the low value asset.
