Effective immediately, modifications and automated enhancements facilitate the input of correct information and reduce further the manual entries required for certain infotype screens. Infotypes and actions benefiting from these improvements include the following:
· Infotype 0008 (Basic Pay)
You no longer need to modify the first line of wage types. The assigned wage types of 1000 Hourly Rate and 1013 Extra Help Hourly Rate are now predetermined values that cannot be overwritten. However, if additional wage types (i.e., Hazard Pay Differential) are needed, you can still use the additional lines. This enhancement includes no process changes.
· Infotype 0001 (Organizational Assignment)
When an employee changes their personnel area during any action, the administrator fields reset to blanks, requiring selection of administrators for the new personnel area. In cases where the employee moves to a new position within the same personnel area, the administrator fields automatically populate with administrators from the previous record. Although there is no change in the personnel area, a review and validation of this data is still recommended in cases where administrator changes may be necessary.
· Termination (Z5) and Retirement (Z7)
When an employee is withdrawn from the system, the workflow process automatically scans the employee’s master data record for any active garnishment infotype records (IT0194 and IT0195) that have not been released, delimiting these records with the effective date of the action. This enhancement reduces the manual updates to garnishment records because the delimits are performed automatically upon the completion of a termination or retirement action.
