Each of these work schedules is open for each day of the week and for working times of 00:00 to 24:00 hours. This means that authorized exempt employees assigned to any of these schedules are not limited to any specific work days or work times.
When assigning these flexible work schedules, all holiday and birthday accruals bank according to the employee’s daily work hours displayed in infotype 0007 (Planned Working Time). In addition, all attendances and absences must be entered in the Cross Application Time Sheet (CATS) in order for the exempt employee to be paid.
Using these schedules offers the following benefits:
· You have the flexibility of entering the actual hours of the employee’s work and absence days in CATS.
· You can assign shift employees to any of the new schedules that reflect their actual working schedule.
· You will not receive, in CATS, the warning message “Attendance/absence during non-working period,” if the employee works on the weekend or at night.
· You will no longer be required to maintain infotype 2003 (Substitutions) in order to enter actual work hours in CATS.
Time Management Status 1 (Time evaluation of actual times) must be selected when maintaining Infotype 0007 (Planned Working Time) for any of these work schedules. Failure to select Time Management Status 1 produces an error message stating, “Work Schedule Rule/TMS Combination Not Allowed.” If this happens, you will be unable to save the infotype.
