Life Insurance Open Enrollment Underway
The special open enrollment period for life insurance through Colonial Life begins today, December 3 and runs through Friday, December 13.
Coverages in effect with Securian Financial will automatically port over to Colonial Life. Employees who do not want to make any changes to their current life insurance coverage do not have to re-enroll during this enrollment period.
***PSE ONLY*** Employees who declined life insurance coverage through Securian, who wish to decline coverage through Colonial Life, must elect to decline again during this enrollment period.
Employees have the ability to enroll and designate beneficiaries with ease via an online enrollment portal with Colonial Life. Employees can access the online enrollment portal using the following instructions:
• Enrollment Site URL: Harmony.benselect.com/SoA
• Log In: MEMBER ID (the employee’s ARBenefits member ID number)
• Personal Identification Number: The last 4 of employee’s SSN and the last 2 of their birth year (6 digits)
Plan brochures and forms are available in the Forms and Publications section at www.ARBenefits.org. Employees submitting a paper form can check the “Other” box and write “Open Enrollment” at the bottom of the first page cover sheet.

Exclusively during this enrollment period, active employees have the opportunity to elect the following coverages on a guaranteed issue basis (without health questions) with AD&D insurance: Expanded Basic Group Term Life (up to $40,000), Supplemental Group Term Life (up to $100,000) and eligible spouse and dependent Supplemental Life (up to $10,000).
