ASE Voluntary Product Open Enrollment

  Open enrollment is underway for voluntary products offered through Arkansas State Employees Benefit Advisors (ARSEBA). The open enrollment period for voluntary products administered by ARSEBA runs September 1st through October 31st, 2019.

  Notes for 2020:
  • No rate increase for dental or vision coverages for 2020. Dental and vision benefits remain the same for next year. 

  • Long-term disability coverage with Unum will be guaranteed issue during open enrollment. This means a medical questionnaire is not required to get a policy. This must be requested each year, and there are no assurances guaranteed issue will be available for future years.

  • New short-term disability policies offered to state employees will be available through Manhattan Life instead of Aflac. Employees with existing Aflac policies will be able to keep them in place through payroll deduction without change. 
  ARSEBA enrollers will be visiting state agencies throughout the enrollment period. All employees are encouraged to attend an enrollment session to make sure they are aware of all available benefits. Many products have guaranteed issue levels available only during the open enrollment period.
