Do I need a title to register a boat?
If the year of the boat is 2020 or newer, Arkansas will issue a title. Before 2020, there will only be a registration.

You can visit any State Revenue Office in Arkansas with your bill of sale and driver’s license to be issued a temporary tag. A temporary tag must be issued within the first 10 days after purchase of the motor vehicle.

There will be a 10% sales tax penalty of the total sales tax due. Penalty for late registration is $3.00 each 10 days the motor vehicle is not registered.

You will not need to retest for an expired Class D driver’s license. If it is a CDL, you can renew it without testing as long as it has not been expired for 1 year or longer.

Yes, you can apply in person at the Central Revenue Office in Little Rock. There will be an additional $10 fee for an expedited title. The title will be available for pick up in 3 business days.
