The Office is responsible for the department’s purchasing and asset management, accounting, and budgeting functions; additionally the Office oversees the procurement of State vehicles, and manages the State’s Disbursing Officer funds, including the Administration of Justice Funds.
The Fiscal Accounting Section is responsible for performing all accounting functions of the Department of Finance and Administration, for disbursing grant funds and contributions on behalf of the State to various entities and organizations, for disbursing disaster assistance funds as directed by the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management and Department of Human Services, for operating the Fire Protection Services Program, and for managing the State Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Compensation Funds.
