Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Grant Program
Program Title
Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws (EUDL) Mini-Grants for Law Enforcement Agencies
Program Description
The EUDL Program allocates block grants for every state, the District of Columbia, the commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the four territories to enforce state laws prohibiting the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors and to prevent the purchase and or consumption of alcoholic beverages by minors (individuals under the age of 21 years old).
The goals of the EUDL Program are to establish youth task forces, support public advertising campaigns, and to support innovative and collaborative programs to prevent and combat underage drinking.
Three types of programs may be implemented from EUDL funds. These programs are youth task forces to educate and eliminate underage drinking, underage drinking awareness advertising campaigns, and collaboration with other agencies to sponsor innovative programs to eliminate underage drinking.
Source of Funding
The U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention through The Office of Intergovernmental Services of the Department of Finance and Administration provide funds to law enforcement agencies around the state.
